Double-glazing is a separate and very important part of the window. It constitutes several sheets of glass, which are hermetically joined with the help of hermetic and distension agents. Thus, hermetically closed space is formed between glasses, which entirely excludes the chance of polluted air penetration. That's why the double-glazing has long life, ensures better heat and sound insulation, burglary prevention and wind-resistance.
The degree of heat insulation depends on the type of glass, its width and distance between glasses. The indices demanded for heat insulation could be easily achieved with the special glasses with low-emission covering. The low-emission so-called K-glasses reflect to 70% of the thermal energy by preventing it to leave the premises, and moreover reflect the infrared emanations. This way the room is well heated in winter and in the summer it is cool.
